Client Deployment and Altiris with HP Blade Servers.
Altiris allows the rapid deployment
and management of images and patches to both workstations
and servers. All the large hardware manufacturers provide
plug ins to Altiris that allow Altiris to manage their particular
hardware. Altiris simplifies the workstation and server lifecycle
by providing a comprehensive solution for managing business-critical
Windows PC's and servers and operations in your environment.
Cardium Solutions already possess several years knowledge
in the creation and deployment of standard images for workstations
and the remote management of large scale PC deployments.
Leveraging this we have invested heavily in our own Altiris
deployment proof of concept area and Compaq/HP blade server
environment where we can use Altiris to deploy standard images
to HP blade servers, Windows based PC's and Windows XP embedded
terminals. For the server environment Altiris is particularly
useful for both Citrix environments where standard images
are required throughout the Citrix farm and also for IIS web
farms where updates to potentially 100's of servers need to
be managed and controlled centrally either by managed updates
or by completely re-imaging the actual server with new updates
included.
Our proof of concept environment will allow customers to see
the benefits of Altiris and workstation management and Altiris
